Nakupenda Sandbank is a little outside of Stone Town. From Stone Town Beach is about 20 minutes by local boat ride away to there. You will be able to provide snorkeling equipment, including masks, after arriving at the Nakupenda sandbank.

The underwater habitat of Nakupenda Sandbank is breathtaking. Countless colorful fish and other marine creatures live amid the coral reefs and underwater plants that make up the barrier reef environment.

You will also rest on the sandbanks and taste tropical fruits while snorkeling; fruits such as bananas, pineapple, mangoes, and watermelon are available.
